Ah, Four Corners Motorcycle Rally. How do we put our feelings for you into words? How about… Rowdy. Raucous. Rip-roaring. Those are all good words — but the Four Corners rally isn’t about words. It’s about fun.

The 2014 Four Corners Motorcycle Rally roars into Ignacio, Colorado, every Labor Day weekend. This year, the four-day event kicks off Aug. 29 and wraps up Sept. 1 and features events in Ignacio and nearby Durango. The rally includes poker runs, live music, tons of vendors, giveaways of two brand-new Harley-Davidson motorcycles, motorcycle demo rides (wanna try out a 2015 Harley Davidson?) and all sorts of crazy contests. Who wants to enter the Best Chest in the West Wet T-shirt contest? Or how about the Loudest Pipes or Mechanical Bull Riding contests?

This year’s rally features 10 rockin’ bands, including headliners Sam Morrison, Hillbilly Herald and Jasmine Cain. There will also be more than 15 contests that range from kid-friendly, like the Kids Mutton Busting Contest, to adults-only, like the Men’s Hot Buns Contest. (Hey, if there’s a wet T-shirt contest, there should be something for the ladies, too.)

Most of the bike rally events are based at Sky Ute Casino and Sky Ute Fairgrounds in Ignacio, although there will be plenty of opportunities to get wild ‘n’ crazy in Durango, which is about 30 minutes northwest of Ignacio. Durango bike rally events include:

Friday

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — 2015 Harley-Davidson Demo Fleet. A beer garden, vendor booths, lives music and 2015 Harley-Davidsons demo fleet test rides at Durango Harley-Davidson.

5-9 p.m. —El Rancho Street Party at 10th Street and Main Avenue  includes “Bikes on Display,” a beer garden with food, live music from the Kirk James Blues Band, and a meet and greet with the Hardly Angels.

Saturday

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — D&SNGRR Million Dollar Highway Poker Run leaves from the Durango & Silverton  Narrow Gauge Railroad train depot starting at 9 a.m. with the last bike in at Rally Central Information Booth in Ignacio. The route includes the historic mountain town of Silverton.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — 2015 Harley-Davidson Demo Fleet. A beer garden, vendor booths, lives music and 2015 Harley-Davidsons demo fleet test rides at Durango Harley-Davidson.

5-9 p.m. Elk’s Lodge Party in downtown Durango at Second Avenue and Ninth Street, features a beer garden, Smoke Ring BBQ Cowboy Cooking, live music from the Jelly Belly Boogie Band, mechanical bull rides, and the Hardly Angels Ladies Motorcycle Drill Team.

Sunday

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — 2015 Harley-Davidson Demo Fleet. A beer garden, vendor booths, lives music and 2015 Harley-Davidsons demo fleet test rides at Durango Harley-Davidson.

11 a.m. — Motorcycle and Classic Car Parade on Main Avenue with presentation of colors by the American Legion of Bikers. Gather at the Transit Center at Eighth Street and Camino del Rio for the parade, which starts at 11 a.m. sharp.
