Who doesn’t love dogs? Who doesn’t love wine? Who doesn’t love a chance to drink wine to help out some homeless pooches?

If you answered, “Nuh uh, nope, not me” to any of the above rhetorical questions, no need to keep reading.
But if you love animals, love wine and love helping out, stop by La Plata County Humane Society‘s annual “Bark and Wine” fundraiser this Saturday, Oct. 19.
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. and features a silent auction with tons of items donated by local businesses, hor d’oeuvres and wine catered by local restaurants, several guest speakers and many other activities to raise money for La Plata County’s homeless animals. You can buy tickets in advance or at the door.
Bark and Wine will be 6-10 p.m., Oct. 19, in the Exhibit Hall at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., Durango. The fairgrounds are just two blocks from the Durango Quality Inn, so book a pet-friendly room for you and Fido today!
