If dressing up in your Halloween costume just isn’t enough fun for you, how about running in your Halloween costume? 

If running in a tutu is more your speed, you might want to sign up for the Great Pumpkin Chase on Saturday, Oct. 26, in Bayfield, Colorado, just a 30-minute drive east of Durango.

The Great Pumpkin Chase 5K and 1-mile run starts at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at 480 Wolverine Drive in Bayfield. It’s a costume run, so dress your kids and your dogs in their Halloween best, put on your favorite costume and lace up your running shoes!

You can save on registration fees if you register before Oct. 21. Fees for the 5K include a goodie bag and T-shirt for adults or a pumpkin water bottle for kids. Participants in the 1-mile run each receive a water bottle. Strollers and pet are welcome (and free)!
