Indulge in the historic ambiance with your loved one onboard the historic, steam-powered narrow gauge train as it travels alongside the Animas River. Enjoy a beautiful day riding the vintage train through the pristine wilderness to Cascade Canyon.

Wine, Women and Song: A Valentine’s Day Event will allow lovers to enjoy a romantic candlelight evening at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 E. 3rd Ave. in Durango, Colorado. Each $75 ticket features delicate and delicious finger foods paired with exquisite wines selected by Stan Crapo of Star Liquors. Singer Gemma Kavanagh will provide entertainment for the evening, as will several talented singing servers from the Durango Women’s Choir. St. Mark’s will sell only 50 tickets for this intimate evening, which starts at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, in the Parish Hall at the church, so buy your tickets online now or call 1-800-838-3006.
A Magical Night in France
This Valentine’s Day, surprise your valentine with A Magical Night in France — but not literally. This romantic and magical evening features a French-inspired four-course dinner, complete with wine and a showing of the super sexy, super chocolatey movie, Chocolat. The evening begins with champagne and appetizers at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at the Durango Arts Center, followed by dinner and dessert. The movie starts around 7:30 pm. There will also be a drawing for a lucky couple to win a romantic gift basket. Tickets are $75 per person, and all proceeds benefit Durango Film: An Independent Film Festival.
