It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is only three weeks from today. We know, we know; we’re freaking out, too. Because Thanksgiving! Then Christmas! Then 2014!

Relax. Whether you’re hosting the holiday dinner or just showing up to someone else’s house bearing a sweet potato casserole, be sure to get to the annual Thanksgiving Farmers Market on Saturday, Nov. 23,  at the La Plata County Fairgrounds in the heart of Durango, Colorado (just four blocks from our hotel).

The Durango Farmers Market‘s Thanksgiving holiday event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and you can stock up on all sorts of fresh produce and local goodies to dish up for Thanksgiving dinner. Hey, you may even be able to buy something you can pass off as homemade. Ahem.

Also, if you’re hosting a houseful of out-of-town guests this Thanksgiving and need extra space — or you just don’t want to deal with Uncle Ted’s shenanigans — book a room or three at Durango Quality Inn for your holiday visitors. And if you’ll be visiting Durango for Thanksgiving and don’t want to stay with the in-laws, we have a room for you to escape.
