This weekend will be your last chance to hit up the market at James Ranch — well, at least until next summer.

James Ranch’s Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12, marks the end of the ranch’s summer hours, so pack up the kids (or the grown-ups) and take the family to enjoy the ranch’s festivities and fare while you can.
The festival runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and includes a pumpkin hunt, a jack-o’-lantern contest, squash bowling, cheese rolling, arts and crafts, and live music.
The 400-acre, family owned ranch is 10 miles north of Durango, Colorado, in the lush Animas River Valley. There, visitors will find a farmstand stocked with James Ranch’s own products: grass-finished beef, pasture-grazed and whey-fed pork, artisan cheese made using milk from the ranch’s grass-fed Jersey cows, raw milk, fresh eggs, and produce and flowers from the organic gardens.
For more information, visit James Ranch’s Facebook page or website.
And while you’re visiting Durango, be sure to book your room at the Durango Quality Inn — where we have refrigerators in each room to keep your fall harvest fresh.
